College management software
Four separate tools, or one connected suite for your college?
An admission CRM, a college ERP, HR and payroll, and learning, from one partner and connected to each other. Here is what that changes for your team.
The usual setup
What buying separate tools looks like
Most colleges end up with a different vendor for each job. Each tool may be good on its own. The trouble is between them.
-
An admission CRM
Leads, follow-up and applications, from one vendor.
-
A student ERP
Records, exams and fee collection, from another.
-
HR and payroll software
Staff, attendance, leave and statutory payroll, from a third.
-
An LMS and a library system
Teaching and the library, from a fourth and fifth.
Where it goes wrong
- The same person is typed in again and again An accepted applicant is re-entered into the ERP, then into the LMS, and then the fee system.
- Fees and accounts are reconciled by hand Receipts in one system and vouchers in your accounts need someone to match them every month.
- Staff records live apart from the academic side HR holds the staff, the timetable holds the teaching, and nobody sees both.
- Four logins, four trainings, four vendors When something breaks between two systems, each vendor says it is the other's problem.
- Reports never add up Management asks one question and gets answers from four exports.
Side by side
Separate tools versus one connected suite
| What you need | Four separate tools | Tuling connected suite |
|---|---|---|
| From enquiry to student | The applicant is re-keyed from the CRM into the ERP. | An accepted applicant is pushed from the CRM into ERP admissions with an invite link. |
| Fees and accounts | Fee receipts are matched to accounting entries by hand. | Fees post to one ledger, and the Tally Connector sends vouchers to TallyPrime. |
| HR and payroll for staff | A separate HR product with its own staff list. | Tuling HCM runs attendance, leave and PF, ESI, PT and TDS payroll, with academic roles like HOD and Dean. |
| Teaching and learning | An LMS with its own user list to maintain. | Tuling LMS takes people and enrolments from the ERP and sends progress and grades back. |
| Library and campus | Another vendor, another set of members. | Tuling Library and Campus Ops use the same member records. |
| Reporting | Exports from each system, joined in a spreadsheet. | BI Connect packs finance and payroll data for Power BI. |
| Support and training | Four vendors to call and four sets of training. | One partner for support, and one way of working across the products. |
| Compliance | DPDP, POSH and statutory settings handled product by product. | DPDP consent, POSH and statutory payroll tools are built into the products. |

You do not have to switch everything at once
If one of your current systems works well, keep it. Start with the product that costs your team the most time, such as admissions, fees or HR and payroll. Each product runs on its own, and they connect when you use them together, so adding the next one later does not mean starting over.
- 1Pick the product that hurts most today.
- 2Run it for a term, with training from our team.
- 3Add the next one and connect them.
Questions colleges ask
College management software, answered
Does it help with NAAC accreditation?
Yes. The NAAC workspace in Tuling SIS gives IQAC a Self-Study Report pack for each year, with metric answers, evidence, readiness and two-person review. See the NAAC SSR software page for the detail.
What is a college management suite?
It is a set of connected software products that cover a college's main work: admissions, student records, fees and accounts, HR and payroll, learning, the library and campus operations. The point is that they share people and records, so the college does not re-enter data between them.
Can we buy only the admission CRM?
Yes. Tuling CRM is a separate app and runs on its own. If you also use the Tuling ERP, accepted applicants move into ERP admissions with an invite link, so you can add the ERP later without redoing anything.
How does an applicant move from the CRM to the ERP?
When an application is accepted, the CRM pushes it to the ERP's admissions module, with the programme mapped between the two and an invite link for the applicant. If a push fails, the CRM shows the sync status and the reason.
Does it handle HR and payroll for teaching and non-teaching staff?
Yes. Tuling HCM covers staff records, attendance, leave and payroll with PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS, built around academic roles such as HOD, Dean, Principal and Registrar, and visiting faculty.
Does it work with Tally?
Yes. The Tally Connector posts fee and payroll vouchers into TallyPrime, with duplicate detection and a log of every run.
Is a suite cheaper than four separate tools?
Pricing is set for each institution and there is no published list price. We prepare a proposal for the modules you choose, and you can compare it with what you spend today across your current vendors.
Where is our data kept?
For the Tuling ERP, each college has its own dedicated database on India-region infrastructure. The Trust centre explains the controls, and the CRM and LMS details come in the security pack.
We already have one system that works. Do we have to replace everything?
No. Start with the product that costs you the most time, and add the others when you are ready. Each product runs on its own, and they connect when you use them together.
