Overview
BI Connect exists because finance teams should not live inside operational ERP screens to answer board questions. The ERP remains the system of record for payroll, fees, GL, and attendance. BI Connect publishes a reporting pack — stable columns, tenant-scoped, refreshable — so Power BI (or Tableau) can tell the cross-module story.
How it fits the platform
- Staff run payroll, fee collection, and accounting in Tuling.
- Controllers download a ZIP (or enable nightly delivery to SharePoint / Blob).
- Power BI refreshes the starter model — payroll cost by department, fee collection vs outstanding, expense mix, workforce drivers.
What we deliberately do not do
We do not hand production Postgres to Metabase or Power BI DirectQuery. That would bypass ERP correctness rules (lifecycle status, finalized periods, tenant isolation). The pack is the open door for analytics tools — without opening the live database.
