E-sign
Legally oriented electronic signatures for offers, policies, and HR agreements — powered by DocuSeal, filed into Document Hub.
Powered by DocuSeal
Close campus paperwork without courier loops or inbox chaos
Tuling starts signature requests from onboarding and Document Hub. DocuSeal runs the signing experience — templates, multi-party routing, reminders, sealed PDFs, and a Certificate of Signature — then completed packs return to the employee record your auditors can find.
Security & compliance
Built on a signing stack campuses can defend
DocuSeal’s published compliance program covers the certifications and regulations governing boards and IT teams ask about — SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, ESIGN/UETA, eIDAS, and 21 CFR Part 11 controls.
Certification
SOC 2 Type II
Independent audit covering security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of DocuSeal cloud services.
Certification
ISO 27001
Certified information security management system (ISMS) with risk assessment, documented controls, and continual improvement.
Healthcare
HIPAA
HIPAA-ready controls for sensitive data. Enterprise campuses can operate under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) where required.
Privacy
GDPR
EU hosting options (DocuSeal.eu) and deployment patterns that support GDPR data-protection requirements for personal data.
United States
ESIGN & UETA
Electronic signatures and records treated as legally valid — with consent, attribution, and retained electronic records.
European Union
eIDAS
Supports eIDAS signature levels: SES by default; AES and QES available via qualified trust service partners where needed.
Life sciences
21 CFR Part 11
Controls aligned to FDA expectations for electronic records — identity, time-stamped audit trails, and integrity of signed documents.
Evidence pack
Audit certificate
Every completed envelope includes a Certificate of Signature / audit log — who signed, when, IP context, and document integrity evidence.
Certifications apply to DocuSeal’s cloud / program as published by DocuSeal. Your campus deployment (cloud region, BAA, AES/QES add-ons) is confirmed during onboarding. These are not the same as India’s CCA digital signature licensing — see Do you need CCA for campus e-sign?
Campus outcomes
Where e-sign shows up in Tuling
Offer letters that close
Send appointment / offer packs from onboarding. Candidates sign on phone or laptop; the executed PDF lands on the employee file.
Policy acknowledgements
Handbook, code of conduct, IT / data policies — capture intent with timestamps instead of scanned wet-ink PDFs in WhatsApp.
Multi-party HR agreements
Route documents to employee, HOD, and HR in sequence. Conditional fields and reminders keep packs from stalling.
Document Hub as system of record
Signed artifacts and the audit certificate sync back to Tuling Document Hub against the person — not a side Drive folder.
Workflow
How a signature request moves
01
HR starts from the ERP
From onboarding, Document Hub, or an employment workflow, HR selects a template or uploads a pack and chooses signers.
02
DocuSeal runs the signing
Under the hood, DocuSeal hosts the mobile-ready signing experience — email/SMS invite, fields, signer order, and reminders.
03
Integrity + audit trail
Completion produces a sealed PDF plus Certificate of Signature with time-stamped events and tamper-evident evidence.
04
Filed on the employee record
Tuling stores the executed documents on the employee / case in Document Hub with verification status for HR and auditors.
Signing capabilities
What DocuSeal brings to the desk
The same class of features campuses expect from commercial eSign vendors — without forcing every signer into a separate product login.
- Reusable PDF templates with signature, date, checkbox, and file fields
- Sequential or parallel multi-signer routing
- Email invitations; SMS identity verification where enabled
- Automated reminders so offers do not expire unread
- Embedded signing UX — candidates need not create a campus ERP login
- API + webhooks so ERP status updates when a pack completes or declines
- Role-based access for HR teams sending and tracking envelopes
- Completed PDFs with embedded signature verification metadata
Evidence
Certificate of Signature with every completion
When all parties finish, DocuSeal generates a Certificate of Signature (audit log) alongside the executed PDF. It records signer identity signals, sequence and timing of actions, and integrity evidence so HR and legal can demonstrate who signed what — and that the document was not altered afterward.
Attribution
Email / SMS authenticated signers
Timeline
Time-stamped open, sign, complete events
Integrity
Sealed PDF; post-sign changes detectable

Document Hub
Signed offer, policy pack, and audit certificate attach to the employee or case — searchable by HR, visible to entitled approvers, retained with your campus document policy.

Do you need CCA for campus e-sign?
Short answer: not for typical college HR paperwork. CCA-licensed digital / Aadhaar eSign is required when Indian law or a government portal specifically asks for it — not for every offer letter or policy acknowledgement.
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000, India distinguishes ordinary electronic records and agreements from digital signatures (IT Act §3 — DSC from a CCA-licensed Certifying Authority) and notified electronic signatures (IT Act §3A — including Aadhaar eSign via CCA-licensed providers). Only the CCA paths carry the Act’s special “notified signature” treatment and stronger statutory presumption. DocuSeal-backed Tuling e-sign is the first category: electronic execution with identity signals, consent, sealed PDFs, and a Certificate of Signature — appropriate for most campus employment workflows.
Use Tuling e-sign (DocuSeal)
Typical campus HR & employment packs
No CCA DSC or Aadhaar eSign is required just because the document is signed electronically. What matters operationally is clear signer identity, intent, and a retained audit trail.
- Appointment / offer letters and acceptance
- Faculty & staff policy / handbook acknowledgements
- Internal employment agreements and HR forms between the institution and the person
- Multi-party campus packs (employee → HOD → HR) with reminders
CCA path required
When law or a portal demands DSC / Aadhaar eSign
If a statute, regulator, or government system says “digitally sign” with a DSC or Aadhaar eSign, you need a CCA-licensed Certifying Authority flow. DocuSeal alone does not replace that.
- MCA / ROC and similar company filings
- GST, income-tax, customs, and other portals that mandate DSC
- E-tenders and government submissions that specify Class 2/3 DSC
- Any process your counsel flags as needing IT Act–notified eSign
Side-by-side (so nothing is ambiguous)

What we tell campuses up front
- Default for Tuling HR e-sign is DocuSeal — offers, policies, and employment packs with audit evidence in Document Hub.
- We do not market DocuSeal as a CCA DSC or Aadhaar eSign substitute. Those are different instruments under Indian law.
- If you need CCA for specific statutory forms, tell us in discovery. We scope a licensed CA / Aadhaar eSign path separately rather than implying it is already included.
- Your institution’s counsel remains final for high-stakes or regulator-facing documents. This page is product guidance, not legal advice.
