Tuling HCM module
Document Hub
SHA-256 integrity hashing, true version chains, and confidentiality flags — a real document system, not a file-upload field.
About this module
Most HR platforms treat “documents” as a file-upload field with no real structure behind it. Tuling HCM’s Document Hub is a proper document system: SHA-256 hashing for integrity, real version chains (not overwritten files), confidentiality flags, and category-based organization — the storage layer that every generated letter (warning letters, exit letters, settlement statements) in HCM lands in automatically.
Worth noting directly: today, documents in this hub are created by other HCM modules generating them (letters, settlements) rather than through a general-purpose self-serve upload interface — if your team wants to freely upload and organize arbitrary documents themselves, confirm that workflow with us directly.
Capabilities
-
SHA-256 Integrity Hashing
Every stored document carries a cryptographic hash, so it's verifiable that a document hasn't been altered since it was generated or uploaded.
-
True Version Chains
Documents version through a real parent-document link, not overwritten files — a warning letter's second version supersedes the first, with both still traceable.
-
Confidentiality Flags
Documents can be marked confidential, distinguishing sensitive records (disciplinary letters, medical documentation) from routine ones at the data level.
-
Expiry Tracking
Documents that have a natural expiry (certain compliance or identification documents) carry an expiry date the system can act on.
-
Categorized by Type
Documents are organized by category — identification, academic, financial, legal, technical, compliance — not a single flat folder of uploads.
