Tuling HCM module

Benefits Administration

Configurable benefit plans that plug directly into payroll deductions — including a built-in Indian gratuity calculator.

About this module

Benefits administration is often the part of HR software that’s an afterthought — a static list nobody updates. Tuling HCM keeps it compact but connected: plans are configurable, enrollments plug directly into payroll’s deduction calculation, and gratuity is computed from data the system already has rather than a separate calculation someone runs by hand at exit time.

Capabilities

  • Configurable Benefit Plans

Health, tax-saving, life, and pension plan categories, each with a configurable calculation strategy — flat amount, percentage, or slab-based — matching how your institution actually structures benefits.

  • Tax-Exempt Metadata

Plans carry tax-exempt flags and section-code metadata (relevant to HRA, Section 80C, and similar) so benefit data is ready for tax-related reporting, not tracked separately from payroll.

  • Automatic Payroll Deduction

Enrolled benefit deductions post directly into the payroll engine's calculation — no separate manual step to apply a benefit deduction to someone's payslip.

  • Built-In Gratuity Calculator

Gratuity is calculated using the standard Indian formula (last drawn salary × 15/26 × years of service) directly from employee tenure and salary data already in the system.
