Tuling HCM module

Attendance & Biometric Sync

Real biometric device integration, shift management, and a genuine multi-level approval chain for regularization and overtime.

About this module

Attendance software is easy to get “mostly right” and hard to get genuinely reliable — device sync gaps, shift edge cases, and after-the-fact edits are where most systems fall apart. Tuling HCM handles device integration properly (push and pull modes, not just a manual file import), locks periods once they’re processed, and routes exceptions like regularization and extra-duty claims through a real two-level approval chain rather than a single rubber stamp.

Capabilities

  • Biometric Device Integration

Vendor integration with biometric hardware (including ZKTeco and AmpleTrails-style devices), supporting both push (webhook) and pull sync modes — not a manual daily upload of a punch file.

  • Shift & Schedule Management

Configurable shifts and employee schedules, including holiday and special-day declarations, so attendance rules match how your institution actually runs, not a fixed 9-to-5 assumption.

  • Two-Level Regularization & Comp-Off Approval

Attendance regularization and comp-off requests go through a real L1/L2 approval chain, not a single manager clicking "approve" with no second check.

  • Extra-Duty Claims Workflow

Staff can submit an Extra-Duty claim for hours worked beyond their shift, with the claimable hours calculated against policy and a two-level approval chain before it's credited — feeding directly into leave conversion.

  • Muster Period Locking

Attendance periods lock once finalized (muster lock), preventing retroactive edits to a period that's already been processed for payroll.
